Tomorrow I plan on posting an (un)official MONSTER READING LIST which will have basic (no spoilo!) SUMMARIES of every SUGGESTION, monster suggestion, critic blurb, and AN AMAZON link. ‘Bibliogum’ fits the naming format of the other sites but I kinda like that this is unofficial and that the name is a little grunt-y.
Bookgum has the advantage that it suggests that Videogum deals exclusively with videotapes.
WELL WHEN you start A BOOK CLUB feel free to NAME IT whatever YOU WANT.
ALSO I think “book” works BEST DUE TO other -gum SITES BEING named for the MEDIUM through which the TOPIC IS enjoyed: stereos, videos, and BOOKS.

Never Let Me Go is one of the most incredibly moving books I’ve ever read. Ishiguro = THA BOMB.
I read it a couple of weeks ago on vacation in about a day. It started off grippingly and then ended up OK, I felt. More of a story *about* a plot rather than a story *with* a plot.
I’ve got ‘When We Were Orphans’ waiting on the shelf.

I’m more of a lurker on videogum as well, I rarely comment. Mostly because of the time difference, I’m in Australia and by the time I read the post the discussion is usually over and done with!
